SSD Juniors’ debating competition

A national debating competition for S1-S3 pupils. Teams of two pupils compete in a British Parliamentary format knockout competition across the year to be crowned Scottish Champions.

The ESU Scotland National Juniors’ Debating Competition was the first ever national debating competition for pupils in years S1 to S3. Competitors range from completely novice speakers (usually at the younger end of the age range) to more experienced debaters.

The 2018-19 competition will be run again by SSD (Scottish Schools Debating).
